My name is Curtis Rogers. In October of 2010, I was in the local arts and crafts store trying to find a new hobby to take on. I had always wanted to try knitting but not necessarily with needles. So I got a knitting board! I quickly became addicted. Then I got some round knitting looms. The addiction continues. In January of 2011, I started teaching myself to crochet and got hooked! I like trying out new yarns on different projects. I’m not a fan of patterns. I like to just figure things out by trial and error. I find some great tips and resources on YouTube which I highly recommend. I have also done some collage work. I really like to bring in to focus history and geography and foreign languages. I also like for the collage to tell a story, but a story that the viewer makes up on their own – not just what I am trying to impart. I like for a collage to pull the viewer in and make them think about it, wonder why something is one way or another, but mainly something to start the conversation, whatever that conversation might be. I also enjoy photography (check out my Flickr site), baking, and cooking, and I have an extensive coin and gem & mineral collection.
Feel free to post your comments and suggestions! Enjoy.
