No Needle Knitting

Fluffy fringed white baby blanket

I finished this 30″ x 30″ white baby blanket using some very basic white yarns. I used a half double crochet through the back loop stitch and it finished up in about two weeks. I did not use a pattern. I wasn’t quite sure what to do about the border then I found the fluffy yarn in my stash and just did a double crochet stitch all the way around after doing a single crochet stitch all the way around in the other yarn.

Pink baby blanket on the knitting machine

This baby blanket only took four nights to create on my brother KX-350 knitting machine. I used a basic acrylic yarn and crocheted a single, half double, double crochet border around it. The border was a little too bunched up so I know now for next time to skip every third row when making the border. I used 120 hooks on the machine and knitted 150 rows on tension dial number eight.

Basket weave baby blanket

It only took me about two months of off and on working on this crib sized baby blanket. I did not use a pattern. Instead, I just used a basic basket weave stitch in basic acrylic yarn. The border is a very light blue in a half double crochet stitch. I hope it lasts for years to come 🙂

Baby blanket

I made this baby blanket for a colleague’s baby shower. I used Bernat softee and a G hook. I added a simple dc ruffle edge and made it as a giant granny square.

Pram blanket

Made this pram blanket out of luxurious alpaca yarn.

Fleece baby blanket

I haven’t posted anything in a while but I have been working on many projects. One thing I recently completed is this fleece baby blanket. I used Northland Comfy Fleece and the recommended crochet hook. It’s basically a giant solid granny square.

Blue baby blanket

Finished this very simple baby blanket last week and have heard it’s a hit! I used yard sale yarn so I don’t know what brand it was but it worked up quickly 🙂 thanks for the yarn, Teresa!

Baby afghan

Finished this little baby blanket/afghan! It turned out a little funky with the colors but that makes it more unique 🙂

Blues Baby Blanket

This was commissioned and I used Caron Simply Soft in two shades of blue and white and did a basic crochet shell stitch throughout.  The border is one round of single crochet in blue, then double crochet in white, then a picot for the border.  There are 17 shells across and then 11 rows of the blue colors which are 4 shells wide (can you tell i made up the pattern?) 🙂
