Made this over the weekend with some beautiful yarn. No pattern. Just hdc all the way. Used the mohair yarn with each of the other two alternating yarns.
Tunisian crochet scarf
For this scarf I used a bulky yarn and a 9mm hook. there was no pattern. I made two rows of single crochet around the whole scarf the the final row around I did a repetition of single crochet chain one to give it a very slight ruffle.
Knotty Scarf
I created this scarf using 4 different kinds of yarn and no pattern. The stitches are only single and half double crochet. I made it while attending the Southeast Men's Knitting Retreat held in November 2014 at the Blue Ridge Assembly Retreat in Black Mountain NC.
Quick corkscrew scarf
I crocheted this scarf in no time. The main part is half double crochet with a Q hook the to give it the corkscrew effect I did the last two rows in single crochet with smaller hooks.
Pink and white scarf
Finally getting back into the crochet groove :). Here is a pink and white scarf in three types of yarns in single half double and double crochet stitches.
Striped scarf
This is a jumble of nylon, silk, cotton, merino wool, and microfiber. It turned very bumpy but soft from the sublime merino wool. See photos for yarns used. I also used a bamboo 8mm hook and the stitches are all half double crochet.
Lana bambu purples scarf
I used this wonderful Lana bambu yarn to make this scarf. The stitch is a half double crochet through the back loop which makes little ridges and gives the fabric a wonderful texture.
Shell stitch scarf
I'm finally getting around to posting his finished scarf. This is from one huge hank of bamboo wrapped wool yarn I got from the Fibre Studio Shop in Charlotte NC. I think it was 720 yds. I can't find the label but remember it was five ply sport weight. The yarn was a little difficult... Continue Reading →
Green alpaca wrap
Here is a traditional wave/ripple stitch using Classic Alpaca yarn in green. I remember getting this yarn at Island Knits last year while I was on Pawley's Island, SC. I certainly recommend visiting their shop while you're at the beach. They have lots of great yarn and friendly staff 🙂
Blue and green striped scarf
Finished this scarf in a weekend! I decided to be really creative with my sale yarn I found at The Needler in Lexington. It was my first visit there and I will certainly go back. I'll certainly use this kind of striping technique again 🙂
