New knitting machine

So I finally broke down and purchased a vintage Brother KX-350 knitting machine. But before I did, I got some wonderful advice from One Hook Productions creator, Mike Horwath!  It's been a fun adventure because I've had to do some cleaning and repairs before I could us the machine. Knotty Scarf

I created this scarf using 4 different kinds of yarn and no pattern. The stitches are only single and half double crochet.  I made it while attending the Southeast Men's Knitting Retreat held in November 2014 at the Blue Ridge Assembly Retreat in Black Mountain NC.

Blue Silk Mohair Scarf

Made this loom knitted scarf for Saskia from fine silk mohair yarn.   Update: I made this scarf using the smallest (blue) circular loom knitting loom only using every other peg.  There was no pattern so just keep going till it's long enough then cast off and tie ends in knots.  It's that simple 🙂

The yarn is wonderful to work with and is making a beautiful scarf. It's called Mirasol Akapana and it is 65% Baby Llama, 25% Merino Wool,... Continue Reading →

Bamboo Scarf

Ok, so i've been posting too many round loom projects! Here's a knitting board one. For this scarf I used two skeins of Hobby Lobby Bamboospun Yarn (148 yards each). Using the knitting board is great because it creates a double sided piece so it looks the same on both sides.  I used the open... Continue Reading →
