Super Soft Gray Scarf

For this scarf I used a 96% merino boucle yarn by Sublime.  It's a little difficult to work with so i had to take my time.  I finished it off with a sc boarder of black/gray/white kid mohair.

Shell and V Stitch Scarf

For this scarf, I used a shell and v stitch and Universal yarn.  This yarn is wonderful to work with and I got it from the great yarn shop in Beaufort, SC.  Coastal Knitting is a welcoming and well stocked store and in a great location right downtown.  I got some great advice there and... Angora green scarf

This was my first attempt at the tipsy cluster stitch and I think it came out nicely!  I used Louisa Harding Kimono Angora Pure yarn which is 70% Angora 25% Wool and 5% Nylon.  It is a great yarn to work with and the scarf is very light and ultra soft.

Countryside scarf

This nice long scarf only took a couple of days to make. I used a simple fan stitch and used three balls of Sundance Countryside wool/mohair/acrylic yarn. However, because I hardly ever use patterns, I now have one ball leftover. Tassels? Maybe. I have 4 balls of another color so I'll just make it wider!

Wreath making

I decided to make a fall wreath for my moms door and I think it turned out ok. Just used some different kinds of flowers and leaves I found at Hobby Lobby.

Surprise Shawl

Blues Baby Blanket

This was commissioned and I used Caron Simply Soft in two shades of blue and white and did a basic crochet shell stitch throughout.  The border is one round of single crochet in blue, then double crochet in white, then a picot for the border.  There are 17 shells across and then 11 rows of... Gray mohair scarf

For this scarf I used two strands of yarn. One is mohair and the other a tweed. I used a large crochet hook so the fan stitch is really open. This will sure be a warm scarf!

Tiger eye scarf

I was in Washington DC over the weekend for the national book festival. I ventured out to find Stitch DC, which is a great little yarn and knitting shop, to work on a scarf project. While I'm sitting there I hear someone say my name so I look up and there is Janet! We figured... Continue Reading →
