Noro Poncho

This only took about a year and a half to create. I kept putting it down and picking it up. I used 22 balls of Noro silk garden yarn. It is a blend of silk, mohair, and wool. I used a variety of colors to create this. And I think it turned out really great.... Continue Reading →

Nassau blue wide scarf

These are my favorite colors! Blues and greens like the Caribbean ocean. I found this Madeline Tosh merino light yarn and ended up using three skeins (1260 yds) for this scarf. It’s in an iris stitch and I used a 2.75mm hook. After blocking it I have to say that it’s got a wonderful drape... Continue Reading →

Tri-colored mini bean scarf

Last night I finally finished making this wonderful scarf out of Gedifra metal tweed yarn from Italy that I purchased at Yarn and Y’all in Greenville SC. The colors are caramel, coffee, and graphite. I used a mini been stitch and a size F crochet hook. I am really looking forward to wearing it this... Continue Reading →

Black cotton hat

I made this black hat in about an hour on my Addi Express and the cotton nylon blend worked really well! It’s 130 rows for an adult size hat.

Dulce suzette scarf

This is a crocheted scarf using the Suzette stitch and Dulce yarn by Berroco. It’s incredibly soft and I’d definitely use this yarn again. You can really see the stitch pattern when you hold it up to the light.

New Circular Knitting Machine

I joined the Addi express and circular knitting machines Facebook group and recently someone posted that you could buy the king-size version for almost 70% off on Amazon. So I decided to buy one! It arrived and so far I have made a hat and an ear warmer and it seems to work great. I... Continue Reading →

Suzette stitch baby blanket

I decided to make this baby blanket using the suzette stitch and it turned out great! The yarn I used was lion brand pound of love in antique white and it did not take the entire skein. The measurements turned out to be 25“ x 38“ and I used a size J hook. For the... Continue Reading →

Mochi scarf

I decided to learn a new stitch for this scarf. It’s called a Suzette stitch and it’s very easy. You can see the tutorial on YouTube. https://youtu.be/52-uPg-0MAo For this scarf I used Mochi by Berroco yarns. I’m interested to try this stitch using other types of yarn to see how it turns out!
